PTCR is a Positive Temperature Coefficient Resistance. In BaTiO₃ doped with a small amount of rare earth materials, which make the dielectric properties ceramic into semiconductor ceramic. The resistance of this semiconductor ceramics was varying with temperature change, and the relationship was a positive temperature coefficient, so called ceramic PTC resistor.

Ceramic PTC are mainly used in control and heating class, heating type are mainly used in small household electrical appliances, household air-conditioner auxiliary heating, automotive air-conditioning auxiliary heating, power battery heating, energy storage battery heating, hair straightener, hanging iron machine, fan heater, rice cookers and liquid heaters and so on.
